In a world that asks us to move faster, The Taylor Tea House was created as a place to slow down.
Set within a lovingly restored 1880s home in the heart of historic downtown Taylor, our five intimate rooms invite guests to gather around a beautifully set table, enjoy exceptional loose-leaf tea and thoughtfully prepared accompaniments, and, for a little while, simply be present.
For us, it has never been just about tea.
It is about conversation that lingers. Laughter around the table. Celebrating each other and the simple but increasingly rare feeling of being truly welcomed, remembered, and seen.
From the moment you arrive, our hope is that you feel less like a reservation and more like a long-awaited friend. That you settle in, exhale, and enjoy the rare luxury of having nowhere else you need to be.

One of the largest rooms in the house: a proper dining table beneath a light Texas theme, unique chairs, and a mounted screen for meetings and milestone slideshows.

Enjoy one premium loose-leaf tea selection accompanied by two seasonal savory bites and a house-made biscuit or petite sweet.
Designed for an unhurried visit of approximately one hour, The Taylor Tea is available to walk-in guests on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to seating availability and service capacity.

The Seating
Reservations are required for all Afternoon Tea experiences and are strongly encouraged when planning your visit to The Taylor Tea House. Your reserved table is yours for approximately two unhurried hours with our signature afternoon tea experience, and 90 minutes for our Sunday Society tea experience, allowing time to settle in, enjoy each course, and let the world wait.
For guests stopping by without a reservation, a limited number of tables may be available for The Taylor Tea menu option, our abbreviated walk-in tea experience. Walk-in seating is offered on a first-come, first-served basis, as space and service capacity allow, and cannot be guaranteed.
For the full Taylor Tea House experience, we encourage you to reserve your table in advance.
Arrival
Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early so we may welcome you warmly and seat your party comfortably.
Changes
Plans shift; we understand. Every reservation is fully transferable to a friend or family member through your Tock account.
Cancellations
A full refund up to 72 hours before your seating, with a graduated schedule inside that window.

Complimentary parking sits steps from the door, across the street and in the Temple College lots beside us.
Dress Code
There isn't one. Many guests love dressing for the occasion; above all, come comfortable.
Dietary Notes
We accommodate many requests with 72 hours' notice. Our kitchen does prepare common allergens.
Wine & Champagne
You are welcome to bring your own to enjoy; a corkage fee applies. Ages 21 and over, of course.
Larger Parties
Parties of 6 to 9 carry an 18% hospitality service charge; parties of 10 or more, 20%.
